Seasonal Worship

Our Savior offers worship services during special seasons of the church year.

advent

On the three Wednesdays of Advent prior to Christmas, we offer a traditional evening service at 6:00 p.m. Each service is designed to help people keep focused on the true reason for the season. 

Christmas celebrations

On Christmas Eve we offer two services, which include candlelight and carols. This year, our children’s choir will lead the morning service at 9:30 a.m. and our adult choir will the evening service at 8:30 p.m.

On Christmas Day we have one service at 9:30 a.m. with Holy Communion.

ash wednesday

We offer two Ash Wednesday services at the beginning of the Lenten season. A traditional & contemporary service at 6:00 p.m. with the Lord's Supper and the Imposition of Ashes.

Lenten services

We offer a traditional service at 6:00 p.m. on each of the five remaining Wednesdays in Lent (between Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday). Each service is designed to help us renew our discipleship walk with Christ during this holy season.

Palm sunday

Palm Sunday begins the somber week of observance of the central acts of salvation through Christ’s death and resurrection. We offer two services, traditional at 8:15 a.m. and contemporary at 11:00 a.m. We have a youth led palm parade at the late service recalling Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem. 

Maundy thursday

Maundy Thursday is a remembrance of Jesus’ last supper with His disciples. We offer a worship service at 6:00 p.m. on the Thursday during Holy Week. The evening service concludes in darkness with the stripping of the altar, a symbolic gesture of mourning as we look to the passion and death of Jesus. 

easter

We offer two services of Celebration for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter. Traditional at 8:15 a.m. and contemporary at 11:00 a.m. with the adult choir at each.
